Delete your Wisplight data
You can delete your Wisplight account and data at any time, in the app or by email. Wisplight is made by Bluedeer IT AB, and we handle every request ourselves.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Wisplight.
- Tap Settings → Delete my data and confirm.
- Your data is deleted at once. The app then starts over with a new, empty player.
Without the app
We need to know which account is yours: your recovery code, or the Apple ID or Google account you signed in with.
- You signed in with Apple or Google: reinstall the app, sign in with the same account, then delete in Settings. Or email support@wisplight.se with the subject "Delete my data" from the Google account's email address. With Apple, we only know a random ID, so please delete in the app.
- You have a code: email support@wisplight.se with the subject "Delete my data" and your code. We delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner, and reply when it's done. Or reinstall the app, enter the code under I have a code, then delete in Settings.
- Neither: we can't tell which account is yours, so we can't delete it on request. It is deleted automatically once you haven't opened the game for 12 months.
Uninstalling the app does not delete your data on our servers.
What is deleted and what is kept
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Anonymous account, player ID and leaderboard code | Deleted at once |
| Progress: nickname, Spirit Pouch, score, level and XP, battery, Super Vacuum, items, game mode, vacuum colour, country | Deleted at once |
| Your player card, and your own nickname's place in the list of taken names | Deleted at once |
| Reports you sent, reports about your names, and their counts | Deleted at once |
| Your sign-in link to Apple or Google, with the email address, name and picture link Google shared | Deleted at once. If you signed in with Apple, Apple asks you to confirm once more, and we tell Apple to remove Wisplight from your Apple ID |
| Who caught which ghost first in competitive mode | Deleted at once |
| Catch history and catch attempts, including the areas they happened in | Deleted at once |
| Fair-play counters and daily limits | Deleted at once |
| Recovery code | Deleted at once |
| Your customer record at RevenueCat (our purchase service) | Deleted at once |
| Leaderboard entry | Deleted at once, from the final leaderboards too |
| Purchase records: store, transaction number, product, charges, dates of credit and refund | Everything that links them to your player account is removed at once. The rest is deleted 2 years after the purchase, so a purchase is never credited twice and refund fraud can be stopped |
| Purchase event markers from RevenueCat (the event's number, type and arrival time) | Deleted after 90 days |
| Server logs, which can include your IP address and old player ID | Deleted after 30 days |
| Crash and error reports (they never carry your player ID) | Deleted after 90 days |
| A nickname that was blocked after reports | Stays blocked for everyone, as a word, with nothing linking it to you |
Your purchases
Unused battery charges and items are deleted with your account and can't be returned. The Super Vacuum belongs to your Apple ID or Google account: on the new player, tap Settings → Restore purchases to get it back.
